The Beginner’s Guide to the Ottoman Afterlife

When I moved to Portland, Oregon, I took up the hobby of furniture upholstery. Alongside my partner Marc Ripper, we co-directed this short film where a classic ottoman is reanimated through the art of upholstery. Inspired by the look of 1940s photography of industrial women workers, we showcase the process of this artisan handcraft.
